Making An exhibition of ourselves |

When water damaged the floor of St. Catherine’s, Cross Keys, Dennis managed to get permission to hold the exhibition at St Peter’s, Pantside instead, and a flurry of fliers and poster printing ensued.
The exhibition was on show every afternoon from 29 October to 03 November. Some of the preparation was done on the Saturday before and Monday morning found us sorting out the pictures and fixing them to the stands, fortified by tea and biscuits from “Dot’s Diner”. A final dust and polish and we were ready just in time for Rev. Margaret Jefford, Vicar of the Parish of Newbridge, to perform the opening ceremony.
There were over 80 pictures on the stands and around the walls, featuring 16 prints from our sister club in Pisek. We had visitors from as far afield as Newport, other clubs, U3A and local residents of all ages. Everyone was impressed by the variety and skill on display. It is a pity that so many members missed such a fine exhibition. Their support would have been greatly appreciated!
Sales of tea and coffee, and donations raised £80.00 for the St. Peter’s Renovation Fund.
